<p>As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering the entrepreneurial community, Altitude has brought back its popular three-part marketing basics series to the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Lehigh University. This series is designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs understand the basics and embrace new technology-driven methods and channels of communicating with their customers and about their business.</p>
<p>The first seminar, <a href="http://www.lehigh.edu/%7Einsbdc/documents/marketing10.pdf">Marketing 101 For Small Business</a>, will cover marketing fundamentals, the importance of market research, integrated brand messaging, and the pros and cons of various promotional tactics. The seminar will equip small business owners with a broad knowledge of marketing strategies that can help their businesses flourish. Marketing 101 for Small Business will take place on September 22 at 6:30pm in Lehigh University’s Rauch Business Center. The seminar will be $35 per person and is strongly recommended for anyone interested in taking the two-part Electronic and Social Media seminar.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.lehigh.edu/%7Einsbdc/documents/electronic_and_socialmedia.pdf">Electronic and Social Media Marketing</a>, a 2-part offering, will be held on October 6 and October 22. The two sessions will provide a primer on the most important electronic and social media tactics, strategies and channels while giving participants several actionable &#8220;take-aways.&#8221;</p>
<p>During these interactive sessions, attendees will learn about the importance of digital and social media fitting into the overall marketing picture, do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts of making a website, blogging, email, the analytics of social media, the importance of branding and how to improve awareness and customer interaction through social media marketing and more. The two-part seminar will be $75 per person.</p>

Altitude relied on actual photos of the spring itself to carry the weight of the design. Sliding graphics on the home page use &#8220;<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallax_scrolling" target="_blank">parallax scrolling</a>,&#8221; driven by jQuery instead of Flash animation, to provide a virtual window onto the unbelievably clear, blue water.</p>

<p>This new campaign will appear in everything from print, online, in-branch video, pole banners, fliers and more. QNB partnered with Altitude Marketing for their expertise in digital campaign design. Altitude previously worked with QNB to design their annual report, sent out in May.</p>

Other awards were presented for attraction projects, retention projects, urban projects and volunteer of the year.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>Altitude Marketing&#8217;s two-part seminar at Lehigh University&#8217;s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) continues this Thursday May 20. The series, taught by Altitude&#8217;s <a title="About Andrew Stanten" href="/about/andrew-stanten/">Andrew Stanten</a> and <a title="About Dave Sabol" href="/about/dave-sabol/">Dave Sabol</a>, covers Electronic and Social Media Marketing.</h2>
<p>This seminar is targeted at small business owners and entrepreneurs, and is a follow-up to Altitude president Andrew Stanten&#8217;s popular Marketing 101 class at the SBDC. This seminar series is on Electronic and Social Media Marketing and provides a primer on the most important electronic and social media tactics, strategies and channels while giving participants several actionable “walk away” things to do.</p>
<p>Part two of the seminar series will take place on Thursday May 20 at 6:30pm in the Perella Auditorium at Lehigh University&#8217;s Rauch Business Center. Altitude&#8217;s Director of Technology and Social Media, Dave Sabol, will give an overview of the evolving field of social media marketing. He will delve into the analytics of social media, the importance of branding and how to improve your marketing.</p>
<p>Part one of the series took place on April 29, with Stanten and Sabol discussing digital and social media fitting into the  overall marketing picture, do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts of making a website, and  other online marketing tactics, such as blogging and email campaigns. Approximately 50 people attended the class, and there is still space to attend the next one.</p>
<p>This series is designed to help small business owners understand the basics and embrace new technology-driven methods and channels of communicating with their customers and about their business.</p>
